A quiet house that floats above the valley.

Summerville sits on a terraced hillside full of hydrangea and pine. It is an old home kept bright and simple. On most mornings the valley fills with white cloud below the railing, and afternoons are spent on the garden steps or the wide, sunny terrace.

Inside, there is old walnut furniture in soft sage and clay colours. It feels like a real home, put together over the years and kept ready for guests who want a quiet hill holiday.

Above the Clouds

Where the valley disappears into white.

On the best mornings the whole valley fills with cloud and the house seems to float above it. You see only a sheet of white, with red rooftops and pine tops coming through here and there.

There are cane chairs, potted plants and a railing that looks straight down into the hills. Sunny in the morning, cloud rising up the slope by evening, and quiet enough to hear the wind in the deodar trees.
